Max Emanuel Cencić was born on September 21, 1976 in
Zagreb/Croatia. Already at the age of 6 he
sang the Queen of the Night in his native town. From 1986-92 he was a member
and soloist of the Vienna Boys' Choir. After the voice break, he started his
solo career in September 1992. A special technique, developed by his mother,
allowed him to sing still in the soprano range. After a voluntary
sabbatical, he returned in 2000 as a countertenor.
He sings sacred music from baroque and classical era as well as
castrato arias, his range is at least: |
